Deadlines & Expectations:

Under normal circumstances we would anticipate needing to finalise all your copy, editorial and artwork (as required) within 4 weeks, a timeline is running for your marketing campaign which is determined by the feedback from all participants.

We will launch the inital landing page for the campaign, which is then built into our exclusive marketing platform. As we move down the timeline, you will receive updates via email as milestones are passed. It is important to note that the URL will not change from day one so you can be confident that any usage will be valid at all times.

If there is a printed version available for the campaign, we will send you a copy via Royal Mail (please advise if you do not require a copy), please note that the timelines for the campaign commence from the launch of the digital platform and run for the period agreed, so it is important to send us in the copy mentioned below to achieve maximum exposure for your business from day one.

Things to do immediately:

In order to maximise your potential exposure for this campaign, we advise that you consider taking the following actions:

  • Send us copy for the portal editorial
  • Send us copy & artwork for your placement (where applicable)
  • Drop in some business cards with the agent and introduce yourselves
  • Ensure that links to your website work, or ask us for help with this
  • Extend the portal landing page facilities where available

Initial Copy for Portal editorial:

We will in the first instance attempt to extract suitable text/images from your website, should this be insufficient, you can alter and change this by advising our design team. Please advise us if you already have copy that you would like to feature.

Editorial content:

If you have opted for editorial content, then please ensure that all copy and images are made available to the design team, are a suitable resolution (see below) and do not contain direct links to your business. A footer line of text that determines who the author is can be applied to editorial.

Sizing for print:

  • A4 Full Page with Bleed – 210mm x 297mm + 5mm Bleed
  • A4 Page (if bleed not required) : 280mm x 195mm
  • 1/2 Page Landscape : 195mm x 137mm
  • 1/4 Page Portrait : 95mm x 137mm
  • 1/8 Page Landscape : 66mm x 95mm

Colour Settings & DPS:

Please supply all artwork in CMYK, with no Pantone or Spot colours as all publications are printed in process. We cannot guarantee absolute colour matching. All artwork should be in a minimum of 300 dpi, images off websites are rarely high enough quality unless very big. 

Please ensure that you have permission to reproduce any images and that if they contain personal imagery – that you are released to use them. 
Please make sure that you have added bleed if you expect your advert to be full page.

Social Media:

As part of the increased exposure for your business we will promote the campaign via our social media channels. Our consultant may have included the option for us to publish content to your social media timelines from the campaign on your behalf. If this is the case we will discuss your needs and advise how this is achieved.

Communications between us:

Forward Design will endeavour to communicate with you initially by email, please ensure that you have whitelisted our domain "fwd-design.co.uk" within your email client, we are aware that some email portals such as GMail and Hotmail blacklist all incoming communications that are considered "marketing", this is out of our control and can be avoided by checking the spam/junk folders for our communications.

Forward Design will never ask you for personal information aside from that needed to communicate with you and to provide paperwork in order to satisfy agreements. Should you receive what you consider a suspicious email from us, please advise us, and we will determine its validity with you.

Forward Design will send you: 

  • Requests for artwork and copy
  • Information where requested
  • Updates to your campaign
  • Opportunities arising within your campaign
  • Milestone information as relevant

Please advise us if you do not wish to receive further emails, under GDPR rules we only keep your information in order to process business related communication directly associated with the campaign that you are participating within.
